The children's group came to Canada in 2012 and performed in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Funds raised from the tour were to be used to purchased video equipment which would help the children develop their craft. The Ottawa event was hosted by a privately owned Montessori school who insisted that all funds be funneled through their organization. The owners and the funds disappeared the next day. I suggested to Gerardo that we sell some Cubacan bats and cover the losses. He said it was a great idea and I should put our whole production team on it. I said "Gerardo I am the whole production team!" LOL In 3 months we raised close to $3,000 and purchased the equipment that they needed. Thus began the Cubacan Projects.
