More than $33,000 raised as campaign ends


The Cubacan 6060 campaign has been a tremendous success. Over $33,000 has been raised, which represents 660 bats for Cuba. In addition, Cubacan Bats has donated 100 bats to celebrate the anniversaries of both the National Series and CDR, the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution.

A shipment of 320 bats arrived in Havana in mid November. On November 30th Gerardo delivered the first of the bats to Ernesto Reinoso, the Commissioner of Cuban Baseball. The bats have been distributed to all the teams in the National Series. The final shipment of bats will be sent in January. 2021 and will be used to prepare the National team for Olympic qualification.

The Commissioner of the Baseball Federation thanked the Canadian Network on Cuba and all the Canadians that made this donation possible.
